About Department
Department of Mechanical Engineering started its journey in the year of 2014. We have a strong undergraduate program with an intake of 120 per year. Our department offers Project based learning curriculum. The primary focus of our curriculum is to impart technical know-how to students, promote their problem solving skills and innovation of new technologies. Department offers a number of optional courses for providing spectrum of options to the students to pursue their interest. Students are encouraged to undertake various projects. Our department grooms technical and academic skills of students to extract the best out of them. Our department has a distinguished record in both teaching and research. Faculty members have excellent academic credentials and are highly regarded. Exposure to industrial environment through industrial visits, short term training programs and workshop, guest lectures by practicing engineers-consultants are a few specialties to mention.

The aim of ICRTME is to bring together academicians, teachers and industry personnel working in the field of Mechanical Engineering. This would be a great platform to share recent innovative practices being developed, adopted and to share the challenges faced in the same.

To be a nationally renowned Mechanical Engineering Department producing professionals, catering dynamic global industrial needs with sense of responsibility and social sensitivity for contributing towards national growth.

It is responsibility of the organizers to ensure plagiarism free research and therefore we will submit plagiarism checked papers for review.
  • The authors are requested to strictly follow and adhere to the prescribed template and page restrictions.
  • Papers submitted to ICRTME 2019 should be written in the English language and can be a minimum of FOUR pages long and a maximum of SIX pages long (papers that are less than 4 pages long or more than 6 pages long will not be considered for review). This limit is inclusive of all text, figures, tables, acknowledgements, references, and appendices.
  • Full paper needs to be submitted for presentation at the conference as an oral or poster presentation. Oral/ poster presentation will not be allowed without submission of full paper.
  • Each paper will be peer-reviewed by experts in the field for originality, contribution and soundness.
  • Multiple submission of the same paper should be avoided. Papers must not be submitted to more than one conference or journal at the same time.

    About Thane

    Thane is a northern district of Konkan Maharashtra. Known as 'Cacade De Tana', its original name being Sristhanaka, named after Lord Ganpati, also known as the ‘City of Lakes’ It is one of the most popular metropolitan cities in India. Being a residential suburb of Mumbai, Thane has number of large industrial complexes of chemicals, engineering products, and textiles. Along with being the headquarter of the taluka and the district, it also has many historical buildings,including a fort and several churches.

    Nearest airport is at Mumbai (25 km) and the international airport 35 km from the main town Mumbai. Thane has a railway station and many trains pass connecting it with the major cities of Maharashtra. ​ ​It ​ ​is​ ​well ​ ​connected ​ ​by​ ​road ​ ​as​ ​well.
